Welcome to St Thomas Mar Thoma Church, Bristol
The Mar Thoma Church was formed in Kerala (India) and traces its origin to the missionary work of St. Thomas the apostle in India. The Mar Thoma Church is apostolic in origin, catholic in nature, biblical in faith, evangelical in principle, ecumenical in outlook, oriental in worship, democratic in function, episcopal in character, and is a theologically Reformed church.
Our church aims to:
- be a repository of the divine doctrines revealed by Jesus Christ and proclaimed by His Apostles and maintain these doctrines in their purity
- promote the spiritual life of its members through the administration of sacraments and by the ministry of the WORD
- make disciples of all nations by the proclamation of the Gospel to all the world, and through the administration of Holy Baptism in the name of triune God.
