“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” (James 1: 17)
Dear Beloved in Christ,
As we enter another Year in our lives let us thank God for all that he has done in our lives. If we were to count our blessings one by one, we would not even be able to get to the end of it. Each of us have another golden opportunity to re-dedicate our lives to Christ.
It is said that God dwells in two important places: (i) In Heaven and (ii) In a thankful heart. This year let us decide to put our faith into action. Let us reflect on the following questions.
- What are the negative things in my life? Could I decide to forsake them one by one?
- What are the positive things in my life? Could I decide to practice them one by one?
- What are the things that God has graciously given me? Could I be thankful to God for these?
- What does my neighbour need? Could I be of any help to this person in need?
God lives always and God is present everywhere. He is the Alpha and the Omega. Man’s life on the other hand is very brief – as brief as a mist. Man’s life is very fragile – as fragile as a bubble that could burst at any time. In fact these thoughts are from the book of James that says “What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes”. Clearly the life that we are given is exceedingly precious. Let us remember each day that it may be our very last day. Let us make the best use of every moment and of every opportunity that comes your way.
I am glad to announce that our church website is being upgraded. I am grateful to the Church Executive Committee members, especially to the Church Secretary Mr. Jaffey Chacko and also to Dr. Alen Varghese Eapen who have taken this important initiative upon themselves. May this be a blessing to all those whose who visit the website and to the members of our church.
May God Bless You All.
In Christ Service,
Rev. Sanoj Babu Mathew
